At Suffolk Sea Salt, we believe that nature creates the finest ingredients.
Founded by Ned, an artisan salt maker based near the Suffolk coast, our mission is simple: to produce exceptional sea salt using traditional methods and the natural power of the sun and wind. Every crystal is created without the need for electricity, gas or fossil fuels – allowing nature to do the work, just as it had for generations.

Unlike many commercial sea salt producers that rely on energy-intensive evaporation systems, we patiently allow seawater to evaporate naturally. This gentle process creates beautifully textured, mineral-rich sea salt that is harvested entirely by hand, preserving its purity and character.
Crafted with patience
Great sea salt cannot be rushed.
Each batch begins with carefully selected seawater from the Suffolk coastline. Over time, sunlight and coastal breezes gradually transform it into delicate salt crystals. Once the perfect texture is achieved, every batch is harvested by hand and carefully packed, ensuring every jar reflects the quality and craftsmanship behind our process.

Sustainability at our core
Sustainability isn't a feature – it's the foundation of everything we do.
By relying solely on natural evaporation, our production avoids the fossil fuels commonly used in conventional sea salt manufacturing. It's a slower process, but one that respects both the environment and the integrity of the salt itself.
From the Suffolk Heritage Coast to your kitchen
Whether sprinkled over freshly baked bread, grilled vegetables, seafood, or your favourite family meals, Suffolk Sea Salt is designed to enhance food with clean, natural flavour and a delicate flaky texture.
Every jar represents our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability and the remarkable power of nature.
Thank you for supporting a small independent producer and for choosing sea salt made the natural way.

Supporting our community
10p from the sale of every jar of Suffolk Sea Salt is donated to Felixstowe Lifeboat.
After spending over three years as crew with Felixstowe Lifeboat, Ned saw firsthand the essential service it provides. Like one in four lifeboats in the UK, Felixstowe Lifeboat is independent and relies solely on the generosity of the public and its dedicated team of volunteers to keep our beautiful stretch of coastline safe for everyone.
